Coming home to book mail is always super exciting, even more so when a book you simply cannot wait to read is waiting for you! I received an ARC copy of Erin Summerill’s debut novel Ever the Hunted and the cover…just…wow! I’m in love already!

I also was sent a review copy of The Little Paris Bookshop by Nina George and on NetGalley downloaded an eARC of The Secret Book of Kings by Yochi Brandes. So, I have a bunch of books to read, but this brightened up a rather blah week. Happy reading everyone and have a wonderful weekend! 🙂

This week I received my very first physical ARC from a publisher! It was so exciting to get in the mail and I can’t wait to read it!!! A big thank you to Brittany from Holiday House for being all kinds of amazing.

I also received an eARC from NetGalley. It’s another novella from the Echoes of the Ascended series, which I’m a huge fan of. Also, I finally picked up my monthly book boxes from the post office. Both books weren’t what I was expecting, but it’s good to branch out and try something new.

Have you read these books? What books did you find this week?

It’s been a while since I shared my book finds. To be honest, I haven’t purchased any books in a while, sticking to my pledge to not buy as many books as I was in the past. I did however receive a few books from NetGalley. I would normally be excited about it, but I’ve been having a hard time getting through books lately. Since finishing Rebel of the Sands and Starflight I’ve had a major case of book hangover. Nothing is exciting me or making me want to read. I’m really hoping that it ends soon or else I’m going to end up finding myself in a major slump.

These are the books I have received in the past two weeks:

I have a two week holiday and for me this is prime book reading time. No grading papers or lesson planning for me! This week I received an eARC from NetGalley and raided my classroom library for books I have been meaning to read but just didn’t have time for. My students have been pestering me for ages to read the Lunar Chronicles, so I’m finally going to do it.

Which books did you find this week?

This week the only new books I received were digital review copies from NetGalley. They are both fantasy books and the cover images look super interesting. The only problem is Children of Icarus can only be downloaded as a PDF. I find this always makes it more difficult to read. I think I need to find a better way to read PDFs on my iPad. Any advice?

I am trying my best not to purchase or request as many books. I have so many books that have been sitting on my shelf waiting to be read. I know I’ve said this before, but I swear I’m making a conscious effort now. This week I received a review copy of A Stolen Kiss by Kelsey Keating from NetGalley and purchased the first two books of the Legend trilogy by Marie Lu.

This week I continued to be approved for books on NetGalley (yay!) and I purchased some digital books on Amazon. I really shouldn’t have (my TBR keeps growing), but I can’t help myself! They all look so pretty!
