20 Books of Summer Challenge Wrap Up!

Copy of Mini Reviews

Summer has basically come to an end and that means that it’s time to wrap up my progress in the 20 Books of Summer challenge. This year, the challenge ran from June 1st to September 3rd and was hosted by Cathy at 746 Books. The goal of this challenge was to read 20 books throughout the summer.

What I Read:

So, I didn’t complete the challenge but 17 out of 20 books isn’t too bad! I think this is a pretty huge achievement since I gave birth at the end of July and had very little to no time to read throughout August. A lot of these books weren’t on my original TBR but were added due to blog tour commitments. I don’t even know why I create TBRs…I never stick to them! 😛

What I Had Left on My TBR:

I had three books left on my TBR for this challenge. I really wanted to read them but books that I received for review kind of took over my original list of books to read and these sadly were pushed aside. I do plan on reading them within the next few months.

Did you take part in the 20 Books of Summer challenge? What other challenges or read-a-thins did you participate in this summer?

20 Books of Summer: Update

December Wrap UpI have two weeks left of work and then it’s summer break! To celebrate reading whenever I want, I’ll be participating in the 20 Books of Summer challenge. The challenge runs from June 1st – September 3rd and is hosted by Cathy at 746 Books. Basically, the goal is to read 20 books this summer, so about 7 per month.

What I’ve Read:

I’m really pleased with my progress so far! I’m on summer break/maternity leave so I actually have a lot of time to read. The challenge is keeping this pace, especially after the baby arrives in at the end of July/early August. We’ll see how it goes…

My TBR (Updated):

I decided to alter my TBR a bit. This always happens so I’m not surprised. I’ve added more books that feature romance as it’s what I’m really enjoying right now. Of course, there are a few fantasy books here and there because it’s my all time favourite genre.

Mini ReviewsSchool is out for summer…well it will be in a few weeks (thank goodness!). Summer means more time for reading and I have really missed reading or at least having time to do so. Work has occupied every moment of my time and reading has been a bit stop and go. To celebrate my reading freedom, I’ll be participating in the 20 Books of Summer challenge. The challenge runs from June 1 – September 3 and is hosted by Cathy at 746 Books. 20 Books of Summer: Update!

20booksfinalIt’s been 2 months so I think it’s time for an update on my progress in the 20 Books of Summer challenge!

What is it?  It’s a challenge that runs from June 1 – September 5 and is hosted by Cathy at 746 Books. Basically, the goal is to read 20 books over the summer. Normally, I would say that 20 is A LOT of books to read, but since I started blogging I’ve been reading a lot more.

So, it’s only August and I have officially completed the challenge! Woohoo! This honestly came as a surprise to me because I didn’t think that I read that many books over the summer break. 🙂

Yay for amazing progress! I feel like I’m totally slaying my proposed TBR and I haven’t even started summer vacation yet. Today is my last day of work (woohoo) and then I head back to Canada this weekend to visit family and friends. I haven’t been home in a year, so I’m really looking forward it. Traveling means a lot of reading time while being stuck at airports, so I’m hoping to complete at least 2 books during my day of airplane hopping.

20 Books of Summer

20booksfinalI have tons, like tons, of books to read this summer. Many of them are ebooks from NetGalley (that requesting rampage is still haunting me) or ARCs. Schools out, so that means no work. Yay! Thanks to Selah at A Bibliophiles Style for catching my attention with her TBR post. 20 Books of Summer runs from June 1 – September 5 and is hosted by Cathy at 746 Books. Basically, the goal is to read 20 books this summer. That’s a lot more than I would normally read in 3 months, but that’s why they call it a challenge right?
